PI White Paper Enhancing the High Performance of PROFINET

In the white paper 'Enhancing the High Performance of PROFINET', the performance capabilities of PROFINET are specified. The project 'Real-Time Ethernet in the Sensor/Actor Networking', which is promoted by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), examined the potential of state-of-the-art real-time Ethernet systems. The project has come to the conclusion that today PROFINET already represents the most efficient Ethernet system for virtually all applications.
